Brexit campaigners visit town centre

As the historic EU referendum approaches, members of the Leave campaign have set up camp in Worthing town centre to try to convince the public to back Brexit.

The group are easily identifiable with their large sign and will be in South Street Square by the HSBC branch from 10am to 1 pm.

Campaigners are handing out information to passers by including leaflets, booklets, badges, car stickers and posters.

When asked about why they were campaigning, Leave supporter Mike Jelliss said that the main issues for him were ‘sovereignty and democracy’, adding that ‘we have lost them both and want them back’.
