Police appeal for witnesses after assault outside Bognor Regis pub

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following an assault outside a Bognor Regis pub.

The incident happened outside The QEII pub in The Steyne, Bognor Regis on Sunday, October 4.

Police were called at around half past midnight after a 45-year-old man from the town was hit in the face with a bottle, suffering cuts and bruises.

Police said a 44-year-old man from Bognor Regis was arrested on suspicion of ABH and released on police bail until November 6.

Response Investigator Siobhan Cunningham said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened shortly after the England v Australia Rugby World Cup match.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 0057 of 04/10.”
