Controversial St Leonards houses proposal set for green light?

A plan to build two semi-detached houses on a plot of green space with sea views in St Leonards could be approved despite a petition signed by 195 people.

Hastings Borough Council (HBC) planning officers have recommended approval for the scheme on West Hill Road with councillors set to decide on Wednesday (August 24).

Officers believe the one-storey development would not harm the nearby Grosvenor Crescent conservation area nor the residential amenities.
