Motorcycle involved in A23 collision - 'severe delays' reported

A motorcyclist was reportedly involved in a collision on the A23 in Mid Sussex on Friday (April 7).

According to traffic reports, A23 London Road was partially blocked – resulting in ‘severe delays’ between Hickstead and Pyecombe – around 3pm.

Sussex Roads Police officers were called to the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “This was a minor collision only and police are not appealing for any further information.”

Long queues were reported southbound from B2117 Brighton Road (Albourne Junction) to A281 London Road (Henfield turn-off).

There were also delays on A23 Dale Hill southbound at B2118 Mill Lane (Hurstpierpoint / Sayers Common turn-off).
