The father of bubbly 17-year-old Zach O’Connor has returned to the lane where Zach died to campaign for traffic calming measures.

John O’Connor returned to Malthouse Lane in Hurstpierpoint on Tuesday (February 4) nearly seven years after Zach, a back-seat passenger in a car. lost his life in an accident.

After another crash on the lane that resulted in a fatality last December, John told the Middy: “I’m not saying that a lower speed limit on Malthouse Lane would have prevented Zach’s death but perhaps it might have.”
