Coronavirus in Horsham, Crawley and Mid Sussex: number of cases jumps with Horsham’s rate doubling

The number of coronavirus cases in Horsham has more than doubled in a week.

In the seven days to June 29 the area has recorded 103 new cases, a rate of 71.6 per 100,000 people – compared to 45 cases up to June 22, Government figures show.

In total, 6,010 cases and 198 deaths within 28 days of a positive test have been recorded since the pandemic began.

In Mid Sussex 156 cases have been recorded compared to 95 last week. This is a rate of 103.3. Since the start of the pandemic 7,338 cases and 264 deaths have been recorded.

Crawley has recorded 124 cases, compared to 60 last week. This is a rate of 110.3. In total 8,336 cases and 201 deaths have been recorded.
