In the seven days to Tuesday, March 9, 33 people tested positive for coronavirus in Horsham – six more than the week before. The rate per 100,000 people is now 22.9. The rate across England is 56.5. In Crawley, 61 people tested positive, an increase of 13 on the previous seven days. This is a rate of 54.3. In Mid Sussex, 27 positive tests have been recorded – compared to 30 in the previous seven days. This works out at a rate of 17.9. Since the start of the pandemic Horsham has registered a total of 5,602 cases, Mid Sussex has registered 6,739 and Crawley 7,832. In Horsham 203 people have died within 28 days of a positive test since the pandemic first began, an increase of two in the last seven days. In Mid Sussex 270 people have died, an increase of one. In Crawley 194 people have lost their lives, no increase on last week, Government data show.
