Bexhill volunteers given award
Bexhill Furry Friends, who train their pets to improve the lives of others, were given the 'outstanding contribution to the community' award by Brett McLean at his annual Lord Award ceremony at the Crown House pub in St Leonards last Tuesday (October 14).
The volunteers use their rabbits to help children with autism who help train the animals, a responsibility that improves their own confidence and memory.

Bexhill High School year 11 student Vincent Bruce was awarded the Lord Award for services to charity.
As part of the celebrations Crown House broke open a bottle of champagne for recipients to mark the festivities.
Mr Mclean said: "It is important that these people are recognised for their valuable contribution to those less fortunate than ourselves."
