Eastbourne firefighters attended a blaze in a bus shelter shortly after 7pm on Thursday evening (November 2).

One hose reel was used to put out the flames in the shelter on Royal Parade, Eastbourne.

Some 90 minutes later crews responded to what turned out to be a false alarm at a residential address in the town’s Southfields Road.
