Davison High School girls are sweet on fundraising
The community prefects at Davison are aiming to raise £2,000 for Guild Care’s 80th anniversary appeal, Building a Home to Remember, over the next year. For their first event, the girls brought in sweets and created pick-and-mix bags to sell at break and lunch time.
Community prefect Lois Vent said: “The sweet sale was great and sold out really quickly. We had lots of fun preparing and making posters for the sale. It was a brilliant way to raise money in school for Guild Care.” The event was just the start to the school’s year-long effort to reach the fundraising target, with the sweet sale raising £62.05.
