Organised by a patient of the unit, the ‘BreastStroke Challenge’ sponsored swim was held at The Freedom Leisure Sports Centre in Rye. A happy and healthy few hours were spent swimming half, three quarters or a full mile by the participants who rose to the challenge.
Liz Shah, Consultant Breast Surgeon at Conquest Hospital said: “We are very grateful to all the swimmers who took part. The BreastStroke Challenge sponsored swim was an inspired way to raise money for our unit and I am very grateful to everyone who took part in the fundraising. The money will be put towards the research we are doing in the unit.”
