Emma's garden glory: from bronze to silver gilt
A TUSCAN-inspired garden earned Emma Barttelot of Stopham, near Pulborough, a coveted RHS Silver Gilt medal at BBC Gardeners' World Live show at the NEC last week.
Emma (26) is an award-winning graduate of landscape design, and established her own practice in 2006.

Past projects include rooftop terraces, where space is critical; courtyard gardens and the creation of practical living areas, and larger country gardens with pockets of interest nestling sensitively in the surrounding landscape.
She set herself a challenge to better her bronze medal which she won at the RHS Malvern Show this year and said: "I was competing against some of the best and most established garden designers in the country and so to scoop a silver gilt, just short of gold, really was beyond my wildest dreams. I shall now have to raise the bar and come to Chelsea and try to win a gold."
