Firefighters sprang into action yesterday evening (December 20), after a garden shed in Felpham erupted into flames.

A West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesperson said Joint Fire Control received a 999 call about the incident, on North Way, Felpham, at 7.26pm.

Two fire engines from Bognor Regis and Chichester were dispatched to the scene and found one shed well alight, with the flames spreading to another.

"Unfortunately the shed was completely destroyed by the fire, which is believed to be of accidental ignition, and a further shed was 50 per cent destroyed.

"Before leaving the scene, firefighters engaged with neighbouring properties in the area to give community fire safety advice and answer any questions that residents had."
