Hastings is finally enjoying a spell of sunny weather and the statue of Queen Victoria at Warrior Square was looking well suited for it.

The statue, which was erected in 1902, is a frequent target for pranksters. Victoria, who is probably not amused, is often seen wearing a traffic cone hat and on one occasion a pantomime horses head.

At the moment though she is sporting a pair of cool looking shades, which we have to say rather suit her.
