Pupils enjoy success in chess tournament
On Friday June 3, four students from Oakmeeds won the Sussex Junior Chess (Burgess Hill) Tournament held at Birchwood Grive Primary School.
The players were Tom Rousell, Jude Harcourt, Jack Barnett, Ben Sansom
Tom won the tournament with 5/6 – the best individual score, Ben won the year group medal for year 8 with 3/6, Jack won the year group medal for year 7 with 3/6 and Jude scored 3/6.
