Tea room wins Chichester BID shop window flower display
On Friday, May 27, 17 shops were judged for their incredible work and creative effort by festival designer, Christine Evans, and her design assistants Jan Copsey and Liz Pelley – who had a difficult decision to make with the huge variety of window displays.
After three hours’ judging the shop windows, the Exclusive Cake Shop and Vintage Tea Rooms in North Street was selected as the gold prize winner with their magnificent floral cake based artist’s window.
The winner received tickets for the Festival of Flowers.

Highly commended for their creativity were Headromance (South Street) and Sahara (Little London), whose high-standard window displays particularly impressed the judges.
Head judge Christine Evans commented: “It was lovely to see such wonderful displays.
“So much time and effort has been put into this competition and it was delightful to talk to some of the shop owners and managers who explained exactly the thought process and inspiration behind their window design.

The window displays were based on this year’s Chichester Festival of Flowers theme, ‘The Artist’s Palette’.
Chichester BID wants to thank all entrants for their impressive efforts and for bringing Chichester alive with the colourful window displays which will remain on show throughout The Festival of Flowers between June 2-4.
