Brighton deadline day: Albion striker close to exit and all the transfer business that could be done
Caicedo, 19, is one of South America's most promising young talents and was previously linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United and also West Ham.
Brighton negotiated themselves into pole-position and are said to be extremely close to concluding a £4.5m with his current club Independiente del Valle.

Hide AdCaicedo arrived for a medical last week and was expected to complete formalities but as yet confirmation of his transfer has not been announced.
Fans are becoming increasingly concerned by the delay and will hope the deals go through without a hitch on deadline day.
Caicedo joined Independiente at the age of 13, progressed through their youth ranks and reached the first team in 2019, where he has four goals from 25 appearances.
His impressive displays saw him called up to Ecuador national team in October 2020 and made his debut in a World Cup qualifier 1-0 against Argentina.

Albion have maintained a good relationship with Independiente after signing Billy Arce in 2018. It is believed his work permit is secured.

Brighton striker Glenn Murray is finalising a deal to join Championship outfit Nottingham Forest and reunite with is former Albion boss Chris Hughton.
Murray joined Hornets on a season long loan deal last summer but struggled for game time.
