Scales, 18. is the second left back the Crawley boss has signed in two weeks following Belgian Bryan Van Den Bogaert who is on a one-month contract.
The Palace youngster is from Welwyn Garden City and has made steady progress at Palace since he joined the club last October from Norwich City.

Mark said: “We’re delighted to have Christian with us because he’s a player I have been tracking for some time now. He’s a young lad who has impressed in Academy and youth football for Palace and they now feel its time for him to get a taste of League football.
“He’s good on the ball but he’s first and foremost a very steady and solid defender, naturally left-footed and someone who I think will relish the step up.
He’s with us until January and he gives us another option in the squad.”
