Saturday football preview

The area’s three Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two clubs are set for action today (Saturday).

Bexhill United are on home soil for the eighth league game in a row as they welcome Steyning Town to The Polegrove hoping to build on last weekend’s win over Rustington.

Crosstown rivals Little Common will be eager to end a run of three successive league defeats when they travel to a third-placed Oakwood side which knocked them out of the Division Two Challenge Cup four weeks ago.

Westfield will be out to halt a seven-match sequence without a victory away to second-bottom Saltdean United. Westfield have conceded 10 goals in their last two outings, although both have been against top two opposition.

Hastings United are without a fixture today as a result of their early exit from the FA Trophy. The U’s will return to action on Tuesday night with a Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup second round tie away to AFC Uckfield Town.
