Castle Goring’s Lady C announced as patron of Many Tears Animal Rescue charity

The 71-year-old, who lives in Castle Goring and appeared on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, said she heard about the charity from one of its fosterers who lived locally to her and was so moved to hear of their work that she asked whether there was a way she could help them.
She said: “If I can help raise the profile of this incredible charity and bring attention to the amazing work they do, I will be absolutely delighted.”

Hide AdMany Tears Animal Rescue rehomes dogs, many of which were previously used for breeding.
It rehomes about 3,000 dogs a year and is based in Llanelli, Wales but has a network of volunteer fosterers across the UK who help widen the reach of potential adopters.
Sylvia Van Atta, founder and chief executive of the charity, said she was ‘absolutely thrilled’ when Lady C got in touch.
The charity has featured on several television channels highlighting its work in taking in dogs that have never experienced the love or kindness of humans.

A true lover of animals, Lady C has a King Charles spaniel called Mickie (pictured) and a cat called Treasure.
