Record number ready to roll for Battle marbles

A record 26 teams '“ 130 players '“ have registered to take part in the 2016 Good Friday Battle Marbles Matches on March 25.

Once again it is anticipated the competition for the best dressed teams will be hard-fought as outfits are currently being made in secret locations throughout the town.

The medals and trophies are lined up ready to be presented to the victorious teams at the end of more than 20 matches on the Abbey Green.
