Hide AdSussex Cricketer George Garton has been selected for the ICC U19 World Cup squad in Bangladesh after performing well for both Hurst College and Sussex County Cricket Club.
George arrived at Hurst aged 9 and studied there all the way through to the Sixth Form. Despite being injured for a large proportion of last season, George’s class meant he was selected for the Potential England Pace Bowling Performance Programme before being selected to represent his country in the biggest tournament at U19 level.
George plays with England to kick off the tournament on Wednesday 27th January against Fiji.
Both George and Jonty were vital parts of the National Schools T20 Champions side from Hurst College. Cricket in Sussex and at the College is in good hands with players of this calibre in the area.
