Sunderland interest in Crawley Town star 'nothing serious' and another signing expected

Crawley Town technical director Erdem Konyar said he has heard 'nothing serious or concrete' about Sunderland's interest in Tom Nichols.

A twitter account called @sunderlandafc11 posted on Friday: "Rumours Tom Nichols signing from Crawley Town undisclosed fee 2 1/2 year contract #SAFC #CTFC #RTG"

But Konyar said there was nothing in the rumour but would not be surprised if it was true the League One club were interested in the 27-year-old.
