Haywards Heath Harriers Coomber and Knotkova-Hanley compete for Sussex

In the Senior Women’s 6k race, Izzy finished 26th (23.25) out of the 62 runners and was the fourth Sussex girl to finish, ensuring a place in the scoring Sussex team who finished second.
Darja, in the U15 Girls 4k race, finished 39th (14.39) out of the 99 runners and was fifth Sussex girl to finish, just missing out on a scoring team place.

Hide AdOn Sunday, the U11, U13 and U15 boys and girls competed in the Indoor Sussex Sports Hall League competition at Tanbridge House School, Horsham. Both the boys and the girls teams finished fourth overall. Full results are not yet available.
Further afield, Jack Chivers took victory in the Capital Runners Richmond Park Christmas 5k and Carl Bicknell and Marion Hemsworth represented the Harriers in the Olympic Park 10k.
There was an impressive international victory for Kim Lo who was first lady (40.54) in the Kaldárhlaupið 10k in Iceland - an off-road snowy trail run. Phil Payne was third male in 37.43.
